You know those Fridays when you're just mindlessly scrolling through your inbox between training sessions? Regular stuff, spam, newsletters... And then suddenly, that one email that makes you do a triple-take at the sender: "Paramount Pictures."

Not gonna lie, we thought it was a joke at first. But nope - Paramount was actually reaching out to invite us to the Gladiator II premiere. When one of the biggest movie studios in the world spots you and picks your historical martial arts school in New York to represent the gladiator spirit... well, let's just say we felt pretty damn proud. After all, it's not every day that Hollywood recognizes that the guys who train with real weapons in Central Park might have something to say about a gladiator movie.

Obviously, we went all out. Orlando, Jake, and Zhorik were our chosen warriors (and by chosen, we mean they won an epic battle for this privilege). Since we spend our days teaching people how to handle historical weapons, you better believe we know how to rock some gladiator gear with style.

Walking into AMC Empire 25 that night felt special. Maybe it was the mix of Hollywood glamour with our warrior gear, or just the buzz of being part of something bigger than our usual training sessions. Zhorik, being Zhorik, couldn't help himself and gave an impromptu warrior pose from the front row - which, by the way, got quite a few cheers from the crowd. The movie itself? Let's just say we started out trying to analyze the fight scenes (occupational hazard), but soon found ourselves completely caught up in the story. Good thing too - turns out there's more to a gladiator's tale than just combat techniques.

The funniest part? The reporters who spotted us after the screening. Usually, we're explaining to people why they shouldn't hold a sword like they do in Game of Thrones. But there we were, breaking down fight choreography in front of microphones. Pretty wild.

Sure, we're not ancient Roman gladiators - we're just a bunch of passionate fighters who happen to train in armor in New York (which, when you think about it, is already pretty crazy). But for one night, Paramount made this modern warrior's dream come true.

The movie "Gladiator II" hits theaters on November 22nd, and honestly? As people who know a thing or two about historical combat (yes, that's actually our job), you're in for a treat. And if it makes you want to learn how to handle a real sword afterward, you know where to find us: www.gladiators.nyc.

P.S.: To whoever at Paramount said "Hey, let's invite those guys who fight in Central Park" - you're our hero
